He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Durban-Westville (now UKZN) in 2002, where he distinguished himself by representing the university in inter-varsity design project presentations.
In 2005, Roderick demonstrated his commitment to staying abreast of technological advancements by obtaining a diploma in Introduction to Computer Programming from the International Correspondence Schools in Scotland. He further enhanced his technical skill set by completing a course in SQL at Learning Tree (UK) in 2011.
